Los Angeles, CA, May 19, 2022 — Michael Kigozi has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on May 14 in Winnetka, a Los Angeles San Fernando Valley community. Gevorg George Gevorgyan has been charged in connection with the deadly crash. According to information attributed to the Los Angeles Police Department, 42-year-old North Hills resident Michael Kigozi was walking on North Winnetka Avenue when he was fatally struck by a vehicle at about 9:35 p.m. Police allege that driver Gevorg Gevorgyan stopped the vehicle briefly before leaving. The 30-year-old driver was arrested after police say he returned to the scene of the deadly collision. The LAPD investigation is ongoing.
