A 25-year-old survey worker died after a Ford-150 driven by Ricardo Garcia struck him on Highway 62.
San Bernardino, CA, May 18, 2022 — Dylan Motte has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred in Morongo Valley in San Bernardino County. Dylan Motte, a 25-year-old survey worker, was standing beside his vehicle on Highway 62 near Senilis Avenue when the incident began. At about 2:10 p.m., reports attributed to the California Highway Patrol indicate that a Ford F-150 pick-up driven by Ricardo Garcia, a 39-year-old Highland resident, crashed through the median and struck the survey worker. It also reportedly led to a collision with an SUV. Dylan Motte, Ricardo Garcia and passenger Richard Garcia were taken by first-responders to Desert Regional Medical Center. Dylan Motte tragically died from injuries in the hospital later than night. The CHP reportedly does not suspect a DUI in the case but an investigation into the reasons for the tragic crash are ongoing.
