A 22-year-old man died and two others were injured in a tragic early morning collision on the 710 Freeway.
Long Beach, CA, May 19, 2022 — Juan Garcia has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a two vehicle collision that occurred on May 14 in Long Beach. 22-year-old Juan Garcia was involved in a collision between a Ford pickup truck and a Honda Civic. According to information attributed to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. on the southbound side of the 710 Freeway/Long Beach Freeway. The force of the collision reportedly caused the Ford truck to rollover. Juan Garcia was trapped and removed from a vehicle by first-responders, but the young man very sadly died at the scene. Two other individuals were injured and taken for treatment. The 710 south was closed and SigAlert was called. Few other details have been provided but the investigation into the tragic collision is ongoing.
