Tragic Accident on Santa Monica Freeway Off-Ramp
A fatal accident occurred early Saturday morning in downtown Los Angeles, claiming the life of 36-year-old Cesar Navarro. The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway at the San Pedro Street off-ramp.
Navarro was walking near the bottom of the off-ramp when a construction van struck him. First responders arrived quickly but sadly pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner confirmed Navarro’s identity. An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently underway.
