A 70-year-old Las Vegas resident who was a passenger in an out-of-control Toyota Tundra pickup truck, died after the vehicle rolled over several times on the I-15 Freeway near the Wild Wash Road off-ramp.
Apple Valley, CA, May 11, 2022 — Lucio Parada-Becerra has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a solo collision involving a pickup truck that occurred on May 8 in Apple Valley. Lucio Parada-Becerra, a 70-year-old Las Vegas resident, was riding as a passenger in a Toyota Tundra being driven by a 74-year-old individual. As the pickup headed south on the Interstate 15 Freeway, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle shortly before 7:00 a.m. The truck then rolled over multiple times and crashied into a fence. It cam to a stop on the side of the road near the offramp for Wild Wash Road. First-responders arrived but the accident proved fatal for Lucio Parada-Becerra. The driver survived the wreck and was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. A third passenger, a 35-year-old Tijuana resident, survived without being injured. The California Highway Patrol in Victorville is reportedly investigating the incident and is seeking out the help of any witnesses.
