CHP responded to reports of a wrong-way driver traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-680. The incident led to multiple crashes involving several vehicles, including a Toyota RAV4 and a white Mustang. One driver was reported unconscious but breathing, and another party was trapped inside an overturned SUV.

The SR-24 eastbound to I-680 northbound connector and the Ygnacio Valley Road off-ramp were fully closed during the night and early morning, with traffic diverted to I-680 South. Caltrans performed extensive cleanup, and the SIG Alert was lifted once all lanes were reopened by 8:36AM
