Tragic Hit-and-Run Claims Cyclist’s Life in Sacramento
A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred in Sacramento, resulting in the death of a bicyclist.
The incident took place at 24th Street and Fruitridge Road around 9:30 a.m. on May 5.
The victim, identified as 76-year-old Zhen Cheng Kuang, was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike.
After the collision, the driver fled the scene, leaving Kuang critically injured.
Kuang was transported to a hospital, where he sadly passed away on May 13.
Authorities have since arrested Lamont Jackson, 29, in connection with the hit-and-run.
Jackson faces charges related to the incident and is currently in county jail.
The investigation into the collision continues.
