Matthew Culver, a 39-year-old mother, and her two-year-old daughter died following a head-on collision at the intersection of State Route 33 and Sutter Avenue, not far from Coalinga.
Fresno County, CA, May 4, 2022 — Natalie Shepherd, Savanah Fagundes, and Matthew Culver, have been identified by authorities as the deceased victims of a head-on collision involving a truck and a an that occurred on May 2 in Fresno County. 39-year-old Natalie Shepherd was in a truck with her two-year-old daughter, Savanah Fagundes and Matthew Culver. At around 2:40 p.m., the truck collided with a van, according to information attributed to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department. First-responders arrived. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene but the truck had apparently caught fire and both the mother and daughter died at the scene. The unidentified driver of the van was also killed. No reason for the horrific crash has been provided but an investigation into the very tragic collision is ongoing.
