Two Covina residents died when a vehicle collided with a big-rig on the 210 Freeway near La Tuna Canyon Road.
Los Angeles County, CA, May 26 — Miguel Martinez and Jason Curnel has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision involving a semi truck collision and another vehicle that occurred on May 25 in the Verdugo Hills area of Los Angeles County. Covina residents Jason Curnel, 56, and 57-year-old Miguel Martinez were riding in a vehicle on the 210 Freeway (aka the Foothill Freeway) near La Tuna Canyon Road. when the incident began. According to information attributed to the California Highway Patrol, at 12:08 a.m. the vehicle they were in collided with and went underneath a big-rig truck. First-responders arrived but they declared both individuals dead at the scene. An investigation into the reasons for the tragic crash are underway.
