A 52-year local resident was killed after being struck by a vehicle on North Sunrise Way at 4:12 a.m.
Palm Springs, CA, May 23, 2022 — George Edward Lammon has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on May 22 in Palm Springs. George Lammon, a 52-year-old local resident, was struck by a vehicle heading south on North Sunrise Way past Tamarisk Road at the 800 block. The driver of the vehicle, described only as a male, apparently saw the victim but was unable to stop in time and struck George Lammon at 4:12 a.m. First responders arrived but sadly declared the victim dead at the scene. Authorities indicate that the driver remained at the scene and that a DUI is not suspected. Nevertheless the traffic division of the Palm Springs Police Department is investigating the case and asking for the help of any witnesses to the deadly crash.
