A 32-year-old local resident was killed after his bicycle was fatally struck just after midnight on Anaheim Street near Coronado Avenue.
Long Beach, CA, May 23, 2022 — Gabriel Falcon has been identified by authorities as the victim in a bicycle and car collision that occurred on May 21 in Long Beach. Gabriel Falcon, a 32-year-old local resident, was riding a bicycle left on the eastbound side of Anaheim Street near Coronado Avenue. At about 12:15 a.m., the bicyclist was struck by a Toyota Corolla heading west. First-responders came in answer to a 911 call but Gabriel Falcon was declared dead at the scene. The driver, an indvidual from Glendale, remained at the scene and was described by authorities as cooperative. They have also been quoted as saying that impairment, DUI, distraction, or excessive speed are not suspected. Nevertheless, the Long Beach Police Department is investigating the tragic case and is requesting the help of any witnesses to the dead deadly crash.
