Fatal Head-On Collision on Forrester Road in Imperial County
A tragic accident occurred on Monday morning in Imperial County, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place at around 9:20 a.m. on Forrester Road, north of Keystone Road.
The collision involved a black 2017 Toyota Camry and a white 2015 Honda Accord. A 71-year-old woman was driving the Toyota Camry northbound when she veered into the path of the oncoming Honda Accord, leading to a head-on crash.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released, pending notification of her family. The driver of the Honda, a 31-year-old woman, and her 1-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
