A 30-year-old local man died after being struck by a vehicle at 3:30 a.m. on Briggsmore Avenue in the vicitinity of Roselle Avenue.
Modesto, CA, May 6, 2022 — David Klingenfuss has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on May 5 in Modesto. David Klingenfuss, a 30-year-old local resident, was reportedly struck by a vehicle at on Briggsmore Avenue in the vicitinity of Roselle Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. First-responders arrived and attemted to help the victim, but he tragically died at the scene, reports say. A statement attributed to the Modesto Police Department added that the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and they do not suspect a DUI in the case. An investigation is ongoing.
