Norwalk, CA — May 1, 2025 | 11:22 AM PT
A serious traffic collision involving a semi-truck occurred late Thursday morning on northbound I-605, just south of Imperial Highway, causing significant disruption and raising potential legal questions around liability and recovery.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the crash was reported at 11:22 AM. A red semi-truck and trailer carrying a 60,000-pound load overturned onto the right-side embankment, with the cab landing on its side and the trailer blocking the slow lane. The driver was reported to be out of the vehicle, but the extent of any injuries remains unknown as of this report.
Heavy-duty recovery operations were required. Navarro’s Tow was dispatched with a rotator and other equipment to upright and remove the wrecked rig. Traffic remained disrupted well into the early afternoon.
