Jose Celedon has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly making a left turn in front of a 32-year-old Winchester motorcyclist while under the influence
Menifee, CA, June 3, 2022 — Luis Christian Silva has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI motorcycle and car collision that occurred on May 31 in Menifee. Jose Antonio Celedon has been charged in the deadly incident. Luis Silva , a 32-year-old Winchester resident, was on a motorcycle heading west on Bundy Canyon Road when the incident begin. At about 5:15 a.m., a car heading south on Cottonwood Canyon Road allegedly turned left right in front of the motorcyclist at the intersection cutting off the victim’s right of way and giving the motorcyclist not time to stop before the collision, which threw Luis Silva from his bike. First-responders arrived but the victim was tragically declared dead the scene. According to information attributed to the Menifee Police Department, 41-year-old Jose Celedon remained at the scene and did not attempt to flee. Nevertheless, officers determined that driver was intoxicated. Jose Celedon was charged with multiple felonies including DUI and second degree murder. He is being held in Murrieta’s Byrd Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail as the investigation into the tragic incident continues.
