William Montenegro has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred on August 25 in Granada Hills. Mr. Montenegro, a 30-year-old resident of Pacoima, was on the 118 connecting road to the 405 at about 10:45 p.m. near the Balboa Boulevard and Hayvenhurst Avenue onramps. The motorcycle collided with two other vehicles, causing the man to be thrown into the opposite lane of traffic and causing his death. Large portions of the 118 freeway were closed as a result of the tragic incident. The investigation is ongoing.
