William Engbrecht, a 90-year-old Port Hueneme has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision that occurred in Oxnard on October 12. Mr. Engbrecht was driving a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck heading eastward on Channel Islands Boulevard shortly after 12:30 p.m. when he came to an intersection and began to turn left on to Statham Boulevard. At the point the vehicle collided with a Nissan Altima being driven by a 22-year-old male resident of Oxnard. The elderly man was taken by first responders to Ventura County Medical Center with injuries that were not deemed to be serious. He nevertheless passed away from his injuries on October 16.
