Victor Cruz Dead after Arvin Multi-Vehicle Accident

Victor Paul Cruz has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision that occurred on May 4 in Arvin. Mr. Cruz, a 32-year-old Bakersfield resident, was driving a vehicle described as a white Lexus on on Highway 223 at the intersection with Fairfax Road when he collided with a Mini-Cooper at around 5:17 a.m. The impact of the crash allegedly cause the sub-compact to collide with a Toyota Tundra pick-up truck. Authorities allege that Mr. Cruz was driving rapidly through the crossing. His car went off the road and the man died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
