Timothy Deneen and Yolanda Gonzalez have been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision involving two cars that took place in Chatsworth, a Los Angeles neighborhood, on February 17 at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon. Mr. Deneen, a 72-year-old resident of Chatsworth and Ms. Gonzalez, 73 and also from Chatsworth, were traveling on DeSoto Avenue in a vehicle with a 9-year-old girl as a passenger. The car was struck by an Infiniti M37 at what reports indicate was excessive speed. The man and the woman died at the scene. The child and the driver of the Infiniti were also both badly injured and hospitalized. The crash is being investigated and witnesses to the crash are being sought.
