Terri’nae Williams, Zakiya Thomas, and Dimitri Washington has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a tragic collision that occurred on August 25 in Walnut Creek. Ms. Williams, an 18-year-old Oakland, Ms. Thomas, an 18-year-old Antioch resident and Mr. Washington, a 47 year-old Oakland resident were riding in a Pontiac Grand Prix on Highway 680 in the vicinity of the North Main Street offramp. For reasons that have not been provided, the car collided with a tree which apparently caused the auto to catch fire. All three people died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation although speed has been mentioned.
