Sylvia Rebecca Salazar, a 61-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision that authorities are describing as a multi-vehicle accident. Few details have been provided but the accident apparently occurred at the crossing of Moreno Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in the Inland Empire city of La Verne on July 22 prior to 2:40 p.m. The La Verne Police Department says that Ms. Salazar was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the accident and she was taken by first-responders to an area hospital where she passed way from her injuries not long afterwards. An investigation is ongoing and witnesses are being sought by police.
