Tehachapi, CA, June 9. 2021 — Sheree Lee Fishgold has been identified by authorities as the victim in a police pursuit-related collision that occurred in Tehachapi on June 6. Sheree Fishgold, a 62-year-old local resident, was involved in a two-vehicle collision at about 11: 15 p.m. on Highway 58 near Broome Road. According to information attributed to California Highway Patrol, the vehicle in which the victim was a passenger collided with another vehicle that had reportedly been fleeing police after failing to pull over in Barstow and allegedly attempting to run over an officer. The force of the collision caused Sheree Fishgold’s death. Both drivers were seriously injured in the crash and were taken for treatment. An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
