Plumas County, CA, June 10, 2021 — Lacey Duval has been identified by authorities as the victim in a solo SUV collision that occurred on June 8 in Plumas County. Christopher Carlisle has been arrested on DUI charges in connection with the crash. Lacey Duval, a 34-year-old resident of Chico, was a passenger in a Honda Pilot that she owned but which was being driven by 40-year-old Christopher Carlisle, also from Chico. At about 8:40 a.m., the vehicle was on Highway 70 when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, crossing it to cross lanes and eventually to crash into a tree. The collision killed the woman while Christopher Carlisle was arrested on DUI charges and for driving on a suspended license. The California Highway Patrol in Quincy is seeking out witnesses as the investigation continues.
