Savannah Hernandez Dead in Sunnyvale Crash; Teen DUI Alleged

Savannah Hernandez has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged DUI crash that occurred on October 6 in Sunnyvale. Ms. Hernandez, a 21-year-old resident of Riverbank, was a passenger in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck being driven by a 17-year-old girl from San Jose shortly after 5:00 a.m on SR-237. The car collided with a tree and overturned after the allegedly drunk teenager drove it off the road. Ms. Hernandez died at the scene and the teen driver was arrested.
