Rudy Alexander Benitez Bonilla has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that occurred on April 8 in Lake Mathews. Mr. Bonilla, a 31-year-old Perris resident, was driving a vehicle described as a Honda Civic, black in color, on  La Sierra Avenue shortly 7:00 p.m. when his car veered rapidly into opposing lanes, where it collided with a Nissan Rogue driver by a 52-year-old Riverside resident. First responder arrived to find Mr. Bonilla unresponsive and he died at the scene. The driver of the Rogue was taken for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
