Ruben Colunga Dead in Colton Pedestrian Crash; Roberto Ponciano ID’d

Ruben Colunga has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred July 25 in Colton very shortly after midnight. Authorities found Mr. Colunga, a 50-year-old local resident, and another individual lying, in the road near Grand Avenue and Valley Boulevard. First responders took both victims to an read hospital where Mr. Colunga died a few hours later.  Later, Roberto Ponciano, 29, was arrested on murder charges. Authorities believe the collision was intentional. An investigation is ongoing.
