Robert Edward Sturghill, a truck driver, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a freeway pedestrian traffic collision that occurred on May 25 in Anderson. Mr. Sturghill, a 55-year-old Fresno resident, was driving his truck on the Interstate 5 Freeway prior to 4:00 a.m. when it apparently hit a guardrail, apparently somehow causing the man to fall from his truck onto the roadway, where he was struck by a vehicle, killing him. Police are seeking witnesses but they theorize that the man have experienced a medical issue that caused the initial collision.
