An alleged hit-and-run driver is being sought after a 67-year-old local man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Indiana Avenue near Monroe Street.
Riverside, CA, November 19, 2021 — Riley Froom has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on November 16 in Riverside. Riley Froom, a 67-year-old local resident, was reportedly in the process of attempting to cross Indiana Avenue near Monroe Street when he was struck by a vehicle at roughly 5:50 p.m. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and did not attempt to help the victim. First-responders arrived and took the gravely injured victim to Riverside Community Hospital where he passed away from injuries. The Riverside Police Department is seeking out the assistance of any witnesses as it continues to investigate the case and seek out the suspect driver.
