Richard Wilson Dies in Oakland Motorcycle Accident

Richard Wilson, a 36-year-old Oakland resident, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a motorcycle vs. pick-up accident that occurred in the Bay Area city on May 8 at around 8:30 p.m. Mr. Wilson was reportedly riding a motorcycle in the vicinity of Willow Street and 12th Street when his vehicle collided with a Dodge pick-up in or near the intersection. First responders took the badly wounded Mr. Wilson to an area hospital, but he nevertheless perished from his injuries. The driver of the Dodge, described as a male in his fifties, was also seriously injured. Police say that they suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the tragedy and are continuing to investigate.
