Ricardo Torres has been identified by authorities as the victim in an apparent hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred on March 6 in Long Beach . Mr. Torres was reportedly walking on Anaheim Street near Del Rey Court at 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle described as a van, a Toyota Sienna from the 2000s. Authorities say the driver continued to drive, not stopping to help the victim. Mr. Torres was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he died from his injuries roughly 48 hours later. As police seek out the driver, witnesses are also being sought. Mr. Torres, a Long Beach resident, was 63-years-old.
