Raymond Ferreyra has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged hit-and-run DUI traffic collision that occurred on July 14 in the Paradise Hills area of San Diego County. Mr. Ferreyra, a 35-year-old San Diego resident was a passenger in a Honda CRV on Highway 54. About an hour earlier, another fatal accident had occurred and traffic was stopped. The driver of the Honda apparently failed to see the stopped traffic and struck a Chevrolet Silverado Pickup prior to 10:40 p.m. The driver then fled the scene of the accident on foot. Authorities, who suspect a DUI, say that Mr. Ferreyra passed away at 10:56 p.m. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the tragic collision.
