Ramon Reynoso has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision involving a pick-up truck that occurred August 24 in La Puente. Mr. Reynoso, an 82-year-old Los Angeles resident, was walking on the sidewalk on Valley Boulevard at approximately 9:45 a.m. when a vehicle described as a late 20th century Ford Ranger pickup truck veered on the sidewalk and struck the elderly man. Authorities allege that the truck did not stop and the driver fled the scene. Mr. Reynoso was found by first-responders who took him to Pomona Valley Medical Hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The truck that killed Mr. Reynoso had the logo of a landscaping company on its side and may have a broken headlight and damage on its right site. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and seeking out witnesses and anonymous tips.
