Peter Smith Padilla has been identified by authorities as the victim in a skateboard and bus collision that occurred August 9 in Los Angeles. Mr. Padilla, a 26-year-old Pomona resident, was skateboarding at about 12:40 a.m. at City Terrace Drive and Pomeroy Avenue when he ran into the tires of a Los Angeles Metro Bus and he was run over. He died shortly afterwards. The bus driver reportedly did not know of the tragedy and continued driving until the bus was stopped. An investigation is ongoing.
