A Honda Fit struck two motorcyclists on the I-215 near Barton Road, injuring one and killing a 34-year-old Menifee resident.
Grand Terrace, CA, January 14 — Nickolas Brendon Jaynes has been identified by authorities as a deceased victim in a collision involving that a car and two motorcycles that occurred on January 11 in Grand Terrace. According to information attributed to California Highway Patrol, Nickolas Jaynes, a 34-year-old Menifee resident, was heading south on the Interstate 215 Freeway nearing Barton Road while a Honda Fit was also heading south. For reasons that have not been provided the driver of the Honda, a 42-year-old Redlands resident, veered into the next lane to its left and collidided with two motorcycles at roughly 7:50 a.m. First responders and found both motorcycles badly injured. They were taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center but Nickolas Jaynes was pronounced dead prior to 8:35 a.m. Reports indicate that the driver of the Honda was not hurt in the crash. The CHP in San Bernardino is requesting the help of any witnesses as the investigation into the reasons for the tragic collision are investigated.
