Natalie Wood has been identified as the victim following an alleged hit-and-run bicycle collision that occurred in Merced on December 28 at approximately 6:00 p.m. Ms. Wood was reportedly crossing the intersection of G Street and 18th Street on her bicycle during a red light when she was struck by a vehicle, possibly an 18-20-year-old Toyota Corolla that is gold or a similar color. The auto failed to stop and continued driving north on G Street, authorities believe. The driver of the car is being sought. Ms. Wood was 50.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
