An 18-year-old woman and another individual died while two others sustained serious injuries following an early morning crash on Whitelock Parkway
Elk Grove, CA, February 23, 2021 — Naiomi Michelle Brown has been identified by authorities as one of two deceased individuals in a collision involving a single car that occurred on the early morning of February 22 in Elk Grove. Naiomi Brown, 18, was one of four individuals in an older model Toyota Camry that crashed into a tree after swerving off the Whitelock Parkway Franklin High School. First responders arrived at about 4:45 a.m. and reportedly found a vehicle that broken in two by the forced of the collision. Four individuals were attended to at the scene but two tragically died while two other suffered injuries described as serious and were taken for treatment. Two of the victims had to be rescued from inside the vehicle. One or more of the people inside the vehicle appear to have been students at Franklin High and grief counseling is being provided to students, reports say. Witnesses quoted in press accounts noted that the street is often treated as a speedway by motorists. The Elk Grove Police Department has been providing information to the press and is continuing with its investigation.
