Stephen Hook and Meredith Smith have been identified by authorities as the deceased in a devastating two-car accident that occurred on January 26 in the Northridge area of the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley. Ms. Hook was a passenger in a sports car driven by Mr. Hook on Parthenia Street shortly after 2:00 p.m. Mr. Hooks car collided with another auto for reasons that have not been discussed. Ms. Smith reportedly died at the scene. Mr. Hook was taken for treatment by first responders, but died at an area hospital. The driver of the other car, a sedan, and a passenger were reportedly hospitalized with serious injuries. Mr. Hook, 61, was a Northridge resident; Ms. Smith, 62, resided in Lancaster.
