
Peter Meno has been arrested on DUI charges.
San Diego, CA, November 24, 2020 – Jaden Rowley and Matthew Singleton Cate, Jr. hav been identified by authorities as the victims in an alleged DUI traffic collision that occurred on November 22 in the San Diego community of La Jolla. Matthew Cate, Jr., a 19-year-old resident of Vista and Jaden Rowley, a 22-year-old Oceanside resident, were passengers in a Nissan Altima were being driven by Peter John Meno in a Nissan Altima on Torrey Pines Road at about 3:15 a.m. when authorities say the car turned left onto Girard Avenue where the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to first hit the sidewalk and then a palm tree. The two passengers both died from the crash while driver Peter Meno sustained only minor injuries though it is not yet known if the two deceased young men had been wearing seatbelts at the time of crash. The traffic division of the San Diego Police Department is investigating the fatal crash while the suspect is being held in lieu of bail.
