Marsino Salas been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian on collision that occurred on August 29 in Hanford. Mr. Salas was reportedly in front of a Smart and Final market on Wilson Lane close to Lacey Boulevard at roughly 7:00 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle described as a Pontiac 2-door sedan. The vehicle and its driver, Desiree Monique Parker, 32, allegedly left the badly injured man without stopping to help. When she was apprehended, police allege that she was under the influence of alcohol. She also had her two pre-school age children alongside marijuana and smoking equipment in her car, police charge. She was jailed on multiple counts. The investigation is ongoing.
