Mark Iskander, 11, and Jacob Iskander, 8, both elementary school age boys, have been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI pedestrian collision that occurred on September 29 in Westlake Village. Rebecca Grossman has been arrested. The boys were using the crosswalk on Triunfo Canyon Road, which does not have a light or a stop sign, with their parents and two other siblings at about 7:10 p.m. One was on roller skates and the other was using a scooter. At that time authorities allege that a speeding white Mercedes struck the two boys as their parents were only able to save the other two children. They further allege that the car continued driving for a quarter of the mile with one of the young victims on the hood. Mark Iskander reportedly died at the scene while the younger brother, Jacob, died from his injuries at the hospital a few hours later. Rebecca Grossman, a 57-year-old Hidden Valley resident and the onetime publisher of Westlake Magazine was charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter and was later released on $2 million bail. She is the wife of prominent burn physician Dr. Peter Grossman . LA County Sheriff’s are investigating the horrific collision and seeking out witnesses.
