Marie Alfano, an 86-year-old local resident, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in two-vehicle collision that occurred on June 5 in Palm Springs. Ms. Alfano was inside one of the two vehicles involved in the collision, a pickup truck said to be silver in color and a white sedan-style automobile. The incident occurred near the intersection of North Burton Way and East Alejo Road about at approximately 11:50 a.m. The site of the crash was shut down for several hours as authorities investigated the collision.
