Maria Reynoso has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian accident that took on November 13th near Exposition Park in Los Angeles. Ms. Reynoso, a 77 year old great-grandmother and a fixture in the community, was reportedly on her way to church. At the same time Brandon Rosendo Mazariego, 25, had dropped his children off at school when his car collided with Ms. Reynoso who had just stepped into the street. Police say that witness reports and video shows the young man fleeing the scene. Mr. Mazariego appears was on probation from burglary charges and driving on a suspended license. He has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.
