Maria Lordes Garcia Jaureguiand and Galdino Limon Agredano have been identified by authorities as the deceased individuals in a collision that occurred on September in San Jose. Ms. Jauregui, a 52-year-old local resident, was a passenger in an early 2000s Nissan Maxima being driven by Mr. Agredano and heading southward on Alexander Avenue at about 8:15 a.m. At the same time, a vehicle described as a white work van was allegedly speeding west on Alum Rock Avenue where it is further alleged that the vehicle ran through a red light colliding with the Nissan. Mr. Agredano died at the scene while Ms. Jauregui was taken to an area hospital where she tragically died later on. The unnamed male driver of the van was arrested on charges of reckless driving and vehicular manslaughter. Witnesses are being sought as the investigation continues.
