Samia Johnson, Rene Garcia has been identified by authorities as the three teens –Ms. Casteneda and Ms. Johson were both 18 and Mr. Garcia was 17 – who were killed in a solo auto collision that occurred on May 10 in Davis. The three youths, all residents of Sacramento, were in a 2006 Chrysler 300 auto on the Interstate 80. Mr. Garcia, who was driving, reportedly lost control of the car, which left the road and collided with a tree. The three youngsters all died at the scene from their injuries. Another teen was injured but was able to leave the scene and seek help. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the tragedy, which may have been speed-related, authorities say.
