Leonel Tinoco has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged DUI collision that took place in Santa Maria on February 7. Mr. Tinoco, a 37-year-old local resident, was driving an unidentified vehicle on West Stowell Road at roughly 1:20 a.m. when his vehicle was reportedly t-boned by another vehicle driven by Michael Lee, 25 and also a resident of Santa Maria. Mr. Tinoco died at the scene. Mr. Lee received non-seriously injuries. However, police determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was arrested on multiple charges. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
