Krystal Kazmark has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on July 25 in Mammoth Lakes. Ms. Kazmark, a 25-year-old local resident, was a passenger in a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck heading westward on Benton Crossing Road at roughly 9:00 p.m. The driver of the pickup, Joshua Daugherty, 30-years-old and also a Mammoth Lakes resident, apparently lost control of the vehicle due to some turns and headed into the other side of the road where a Kia Sorrento hit the passenger side, killing Ms. Kazmark. The Tacoma was driving at the speed limit at the time of crash, reports say. The driver of the Kia, a 71-year-old Hawthorne resident, received major injuries as did Mr. Daugherty and two others. The accident is being investigated by authorities.
