Oildale, CA, December 8, 2020 — Keith Leon Post has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred on December 5 in Oildale. Keith Post, a 46-year-old resident of Bakersfield, was riding a motorcycle heading south on Chester Avenue prior to 3:00 p.m. As attributed to the California Highway Patrol, at or near the intersection with McCord Avenue, there was a collision with a car described as a 2002 Chevrolet that had been heading in the opposite on Chester. The victim was thrown from his bike by the force of the crash and died as a result of the injuries he suffered. The driver of the car, described as a 35-year-old woman, reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. An investigation is ongoing.
