Julian Anthony George, 6, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a car collision that occurred on May 7 in Pomona. The child was in a car driven by Peter George shortly before 4:30 p.m. on White Avenue near the Fairplex when authorities say a car driven by Franky Provencio, 19, went over a center divider and collided with the car being driven by Mr. George. Young Julian George tragically perished at the scene. Mr. George, a resident of Upland, was severely injured and taken to an area hospital. Another passenger of the car received less serious injuries. Mr. Provencio has been charged with multiple crimes including murder as authorities say he was under the influence of one or more substances, driving with a suspended license, and under probation. The incident is being investigated to determine further information.
