Julian Curran has been identified by authorities as the victim in a fatal Berkeley bicycle collision that took place on March 2. Reports indicate that Mr. Curran was riding his bicycle at Fulton Street and Ashby Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle allegedly driven by Lacisha Atkins, a 45-year-old woman. The motorist fled the scene, authorities say. Mr. Curran’s death was announced by the coroner of Alameda County this week, who said that 75-year-old Berkeley resident had passed away on April 5.
