Judson Bergman, Mary Miller, Berkant Ramadan Ahmed and Emilie Ross, have been identified by authorities as the four deceased individuals in an apparent wrong-way collision that occurred on October 3 in San Francisco. Mr. Bergman, a 62-year-old financial tech executive and the founder and CEO of Envestent, and his wife, Ms. Miller, 57, both residents of Chicago, were in a taxi that was travelling north on the 101. The driver was Berkant Ramadan Ahmed, a 42-year-old San Carlos resident. At roughly 12:30 a.m. the taxi encountered a Volkswagen that was driven by Emilie Ross, a 34-year-old Hillsborough resident, that was headed southward and was the subject of a number of 911 calls warning of a wrong way driver. A four individuals tragically perished in the accident. The case is currently under investigation.
